The parts of the screw assembly of an extruder consists of a feeder and an extractor screw. In between are mixing and shearing parts which can be designed to suit the customer’s specific requirements. The barrel zones are equipped with heating trays and liquid cooling. Extruder macbines used in China become more and more reliable and are easier to maintain. Made in China machines are not high quality, but very low in purchase price. Torque used is increasing, domestic supplier cannot meet the quality demands requested by the factories using the extruders. Needed are PM-Steel or case hardened standard steel, Tempered and nitrogen hardened screws, possible with wear resistance alloys.
